Annual Cost vs. Value Report 2009

February 11, 2010 at 12:05 pm 2 comments

We are often asked the question “If we put this money into the house, will we get it back?”  Here is the answer via Remodeling Magazine’s annual study:  http://www.remodeling.hw.net/2009/costvsvalue/national.aspx

The top recoup items for South Central:

  • entrance door
  • minor kitchen remodel
  • bathroom remodel
  • deck addition
  • siding
  • window replacement

This general rule will always apply:  do the job poorly and you’ll turn off prospective buyers.
